Allows user to install up to 2080 M.2 NVME SSDs and connect via available USB 3 ports. I use it to connect a 2TB SSD to my Mac Pro 2013. I can then copy programs, software storage, etc. to that SSD as needed. The speeds are better than any internal drive with USB 3. (Note: the 6.1 Mac Pro model uses an older SSD socket, and an M.2 NVME SSD will not work with a simple adapter. I couldn't upgrade my SSD Sabrent to the Even get it to work with a date adapter when installed in a Mac Pro I suspect a software modification is required but I couldn't find anything from Apple or the web.
