As others have mentioned, it's HUGE. I am a little worried the airline might try to charge an oversized bag fee, but if the stated dimensions are true after it has been packed, then we should be golden. It does have that synthetic canvas smell that is quite strong. If we were taking a road-trip, that might be a problem. Compared to a bag like TUMI, the quality is pretty shoddy, but it is also about a 5th the price, so I'm not surprised. That said, if you are considering this bag for hockey gear, you may be disappointed and better off with something from Bauer or CCM for the same money. I don't see this bag withstanding too much abuse, but it appears to be perfect for fitting a month's worth of northern latitude gear in one bag.
