Consider using an electric riveting tool

As a newbie to riveting tools, I didn't think my shop would justify the cost of an electric riveting tool, so I bought this manual hand tool. When I first used it I was very careful and even used safety glasses. However, on the third press, when the tool finally engaged the rivet, the handles closed so quickly it kind of pinched the tip of my ring finger on my left hand, causing excruciating pain. I thought I wanted to keep my fingers out of the way but apparently I didn't. Now I am ordering the following electric rivet tool so that never happens again: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086W1W2V6?pd_rd_i=B086W1W2V6&pd_rd_w=qJ0ti&pf_rd_p=65bbcba5-ab9e-490b-8d8b-611188a1484c&pd_rd_wg=XEw0X&pf_rd_r=ZZSX0WQME1KGCFFB8WDQ&pd_rd_r=e44e3926 -79f8-4e18-8222-28ce9623ab1e</p>
