I want to start by loving this thing. I bought it mainly to sweep the entryway but ended up using it on all floors of the house. I've had it for about 2-3 weeks now and I've been pleasantly surprised in some ways and slightly disappointed in others. For the features you get (Wi-Fi, smart mode switching) this is a great buy. Just don't expect the depth of these features compared to a $500 name brand vacuum. One thing is the app. The application does not do what is shown in the screenshots. I'm not sure if this is due to a future update, a different model, or just something that didn't make it into the final version. The other features of the app work well. This allows you to switch modes, start/stop, tell it to return to its base, etc. Actual Use: For actual use as a vacuum, this is amazing. One thing it does is switch suction when it detects a transition from hardwood to carpet. This is a feature I love. This makes the cleaner quieter when standing on a hard surface while still vacuuming up dirt/pet hair. Speaking of pets, my dog was scared of them the first day I bought him but has since gotten used to it. At first I used it to sweep the entryway but ended up using it on my first floor (wood) and the floor above (full carpet). It recognizes stairs and won't fall, and I ended up using the included magnetic strips to block it from the old carpet I have. If you have a floor rug that doesn't have a defined edge, you can do the same. The build quality seems great and I saw in their manual or website (I can't remember which) that there would be a wipe addon. in the future. Does it replace a full-fledged vacuum cleaner? To be honest I'm not sure. I feel like most of my vacuums have been like this. I will still keep my full size but haven't used them since I got these. I would buy this again.
