For an amateur umpire, it's good to have a belt without a buckle to avoid scratching the boxer shorts. Following other reviewers' recommendations, the strap fits perfectly and, while a bit stiff, is very comfortable to wear - I drove three hours to get to a recent event and didn't even notice I was wearing it. It looks sharp for that professional look. Thick leather won't double through my pants' belt loops, so I put velcro over the belt loop, which still looks good. Highly recommended.
