For some reason, Kohler decided to make the unit with a built-in, non-removable faucet valve. Often the valve stops turning due to hard water. Rather than allow for a simple valve swap, which I believe can be purchased for less than $10, Kohler priced this entire kit at $37+. I felt guilty for throwing away the whole piece of copper because of the stupid design. Next time I buy new faucets I will definitely not buy a Kohler.
