Not recommended for ballet equipment

The footrests are ok but I don't know how long they will last. I weigh about 185-190 pounds and the door in my room didn't look like it would hold. The door is not solid wood. I had some pieces of wood and installed them into the cabinet so that the pressure was on the frame and internal studs. However, I'm nervous. The leg extension seems to wear out a bit where it goes through the steel ring. It may take several months, I don't know. The principle of this thing is that it consists of two parts: a rope that pulls the leg up and a rope that sticks to the door. What you need to do is stick some of this on top of the door and then close the door. The part of this cord on your side has a metal ring. Here you pull the rope attached to the ankle. For a woman under 130 pounds who already has some mobility, this should work. For a guy like me with heavy, muscular legs, that's risky. I would be more willing to use it if I had a solid steel door or some other method of installing it that is very strong. Another thing I hate about it is that you have to hold it to stretch. It's good for the man's core muscles, but to get the leg to about 100 degrees, staying on the rope for 5 minutes is very difficult. If I could tie it it would be better but then I was nervous that what I was tying to would break. So I wouldn't recommend this to anyone over 140lbs unless they are either already flexible or can't somehow attach it to some sort of metal or thick wood stand. But if I had such a setup, why buy this thing? I can buy ropes at the hardware store. If you're serious about flexibility, I think it's better to get a proper leg extension so you don't injure yourself if the rope breaks, which can happen over time with everyday use. Also, I cannot muster the motivation to do so if I have concerns about the integrity of this matter.
