it was very full as soon as you shake it up because it was in the box but it's short. It doesn't take long for a formal, I've used it for a dance costume and it worked beautifully. It is adjustable at the waist with a drawstring that helps with the fit. My granddaughter is skinny so I think this will work for her. We ordered at the last minute and were glad it arrived on time. Great for shorter dresses but not formal long dresses and be prepared to fluff them up so they don't break in shipping.
