Cuisnart vs. Mauviel

Ordered this and the Rondo from Mauviel M'Cook (both in stainless steel, same shape). He examined them both carefully. This Cuisnart is three ply, Mauviel is five ply, but the edges where you can see the plies are the same size. The Mauviel is stunningly beautiful and feels heavier, but I think that's just because there's so much stainless steel on the handles and it's a bit larger. After all, I've cooked on Cuisinart and for $50 I'm very happy with it. The Mauviel was $225 and I sent it back. I wish I could cook for both of them, but I promised myself that if Cuisinart wasn't up and running in a few months, I'd take a chance. In this case price was the deciding factor and with both models in my hands I couldn't find a reason to spend much more. pleasant to handle. Otherwise, Cusinart is pretty much the same, just no frills, and it cooks really, really well. By the way, always let each stainless steel pan cool down before you put it in water to clean it, otherwise it will warp.
