I sew and collect and use mostly vintage tablecloths. I've had several irons that worked fine for a while but just didn't do the job in the end. My main complaint as a quilter was the short time before the iron would automatically shut off. You will receive a piece that is ready to iron and you will have to wait for it to heat up again. Drives you crazy! Actually, I was looking for an expensive well-known iron, but they were all missing. I bought this completely unknown brand because it had 30 minutes before turning black. I've been using it for a few weeks and it's the best iron I've ever had. I like this! It's ok without vapor, but with it it's spectacular. Unless you need it for stiffness (like my tablecloths) you don't need starch to smooth out wrinkles. This is really great.
