Review on Topeak DeFender Mountain Bike Fender by Francisco Russell

After reading some negative reviews I have to admit that I was a bit reluctant to buy. I did it anyway and I'm glad I did. Is the bracket a bit fragile? So maybe don't pedal and you'll be fine. That's not a footboard, that's a wing, and a good one at that. Lightweight, easy to turn on and off, looks great (I attach a photo); so don't be afraid Buy this product. You will not regret it. 4.75 stars. I'd give it a five, but some riders have legitimate concerns about the mounting hardware, and I think it's worth the 0.25 stars. ToPeak may want to address this issue in future models, but even if they don't, this will always be my wing. For the record, I'm a desert racer from Southern California; no snow, just the occasional light mud, road water and a lot of small rocks and sand. The DeFender is perfect for desert driving.
