I installed it in my Late 2009 iMac 27 inch. I had 8GB and increased it to 16GB by replacing the original 4 with 4 of them. Installation was very easy except that initially I didn't push it in far enough and when I turned on the iMac it beeped with a black screen. I was looking for information on this and people were saying to push hard. I pressed really hard but I didn't feel a click but I was afraid to press harder. The second time I pushed really hard and I could tell exactly when they were full. When the slot was empty I inserted the bottom one first and it was easy for me to slip my fingers in and squeeze firmly. When I put the second on top of the first, I had trouble getting my fingers through to apply pressure, so I used a plastic stick (the little brush I used for dusting) to press it really hard and it went in. Then I repeated for the second slot. The lid also came out much better, flush on all sides when I installed them all the way. The computer started with no problems. I only did the install a while ago and haven't used it much, but I'm seeing some speed improvement, which is very welcome.
