Excellent for sensory processing disorder

Update December 2022: still going strong and I recommend it to everyone. I can even lay and swing in it with my kids and I am not small. It’s a firmer texture than a bouncy stretchy type swing but maybe that’s why it’s held up so well?Update December 2021: this yoga silk still gets used every single day. My 6 and 8 year old twist themselves up in it, swing, you name it. Shortly after we got it they put a tiny dime sized hole in it before I taught them no sharp objects in the swing. It’s in the part of the swing that actually holds their seat and shockingly that hole has not gotten any bigger. Every kid that comes to our house loves it, too. We got tree swing straps and connected it to a ceiling beam with carabiners to hooks in the ceiling. Best $45 I’ve ever spent. My 5 year old loves the thick Lycra swing at his occupational therapists office (swinging and pressure soothes him). But we chose not to afford a $300 therapy swing. This yoga silk has been great. Both my kids love sitting and swinging and doing acrobatics in it. Fairly easy to tie once I found a YouTube video. Considering buying a second because my kids are starting to fight over it they use it so much. (They’re usually excellent sharers, surprisingly enough.)

Pros
  • Bought this for my granddaughter. She hung it in a tree and loves it!!
Cons
  • Limited usage: The product is specifically designed for Pilates, yoga, and bodybuilding exercises and cannot be used for other purposes such as general relaxation or as a traditional hammock
