Beware of Fire on the Grill

People never stop judging products on exactly one of the three items they ask you to rate. Yes, it's easy to use, and yes, the quality is pretty good. But here's the problem. Unless you're just using the sensor to control the temperature of the grill, and rely heavily on the sensors to tell you when the meat is up to temperature, you can and probably will get a fire on the grill, at least on a gas grill. If this happens and you don't test your food like you would without the device, your food and sensors will burn out before you get a warning that the temperature is exceeding your settings or a temperature that's safe for the food. I wouldn't say they should necessarily be badly reviewed for that, but they should put something in the product to warn against it. It must inform customers that a grill temperature sensor must be installed to prevent food and produce from burning. The device itself works quite well. I wish they would offer replacement probes specifically for this product. I see a few for sale but they are different and two cost the same as the unit that comes with 6. You might as well buy a second device. Also check the app rating before purchasing.
