These replacement ear pads came in a very nice plastic bag (preferably recyclable or non-plastic) with clear instructions and a link to a video. I watched the video and pretty easily followed the instructions to remove my battered (disgusting, sorry fellow buyers!) original ear pads and put on the new ones. As other reviewers have noted, the only noticeable difference from the originals is that the parts connecting the earcups to the headphones are slightly stronger on the originals, making them easier to "snap" under the hooks. But as other reviewers have pointed out, this difference doesn't seem to affect the long-term effectiveness of the hooks, you just need to make sure they're in place. I've been using modded headphones for a few weeks now and am so happy I got the comfort of functional noise canceling headphones back. I didn't know changing ear pads was that easy, otherwise I would have done it a long time ago. Also, I've found in the past that the ear pads can sometimes pick up very bad (cooking) smells, so I've decided to buy a second pair at a discount just in case such a horrific scenario happens!
