Review on MikroTik RB941-2nD RouterBoard hAP Lite: Affordable 2.4GHz Home Access Point by Michal Adach ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch and I recommend the product for purchase.

There was a task to buy home (in a four-room apartment) two wi-fi routers and even keep within 3,000 2022. In the end, I settled on this device. Didn't regret it! One CAPsMAN technology is worth something! I installed one router in the hallway and set it to the provider (main), the other in Bridge mode in the farthest room to connect a smart TV and set-top box to it. I set up the CAPsMAN mode - this is a seamless wi-fi roaming between routers. MikroTik-and these are loaded in our apartment to the fullest. Two computers plus a bunch of gadgets. The son constantly downloads torrents, plays online games. In general, I am very pleased with the purchase, for the money I got everything I wanted and have been using it for five months without jambs. Only for lovers of powerful wi-fi routers, this one will not work. Due to the fact that two of these are installed in a four-room apartment, wi-fi coverage is complete, but I understand that if there was one router, then maybe there would be enough signal in the farthest room. And yet, RouterOS for those who have not encountered is very difficult to set up for beginners. For ignorant people, it’s better not to go into the “wilds” but use the quick setting (fortunately, everything is there). I killed two days as an inhabitant while I set everything up as I need to shovel a bunch of manuals on the Internet, with all sorts of CAPsMANs and so on . In general, I put five points. Price + quality, for two less routers I gave less than three thousand - I got two wi-fi points, seven free ports and awesome functionality from RouterOS (constructor, sculpt whatever networks you want).

Pros
  • Price, compactness, reliability in work.
