Review on Get Loud And Clear With MIRKIT Heavy Duty Speaker Mic M2 Compatible With Motorola Radios - Perfect For Ham Radio Operators And Two Way Radios! by Marc Cahoon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent budget speaker mic for Some Motorola radios

This remote speaker microphone works well for the money. It doesn't feel as sturdy or substantial as the Motorola commercial/public safety ones after which this is modeled, but that's to be expected. The audio comes through well on the RX side, and it works well on outbound audio (TX), but I find it just a tad low. Not low enough to make it to where I don't want to use it, but a bit higher modulation would be nice.Time will tell how well it holds up over a summer's worth of being attached to backpack and camelbak straps while hiking and mountain biking. If it holds up to one full summer's worth of 3-4 times a week use, I will be quite happy. The connector fits well into Motorola M2 type plugs, and it's nice to see stress relief at the cable entry points both at the plug and mic head. As of now, I'm pleased with this, especially because the clip rotates and stays in position once set.Be sure to know what type of plug you need as Motorola uses more than one type depending on the radio series.

Pros
  • ✔️We provide 5 years 100% USA Warranty from our store MIRKIT and 60 days acceptable returns without reason asked. You have no need to send the radio shoulder mic to China!
Cons
  • The buttons on the speaker mic are small and hard to press, making it difficult to operate while wearing gloves or in low-light conditions
