Individual blocks of soap are poorly packaged - polyethylene film is much thinner than, say, ordinary kitchen cling film and has many holes that allow moisture and air to pass through. The plastic foil also felt wet and corroded, believed to be due to the solvent properties of fatty acid oils, making it sticky and difficult to handle, akin to a piece of chewing gum losing its grip due to overheating and dissolving in the mouth. This grade is being repackaged as not all bricks were in equally good shape. If you're lucky enough to snag a good specimen, given the variety and beautiful shape/size of the square chunky blocks, it's probably a good deal. I also bought a few pounds of Saponify goat milk base and the blocks were better packaged so your mileage may vary.
