This is a good headset for the price. It doesn't really eliminate the ambient noise around you, but rather muffles it. The sound quality is good, not great, but good. It has some surround sound, but it won't be good enough for audio geeks. However, it's good enough for me. The quality of the microphone is good. My Discord group told me I sound better. The two negatives for me were that the built-in controls are large and cumbersome and the headset was too big. I have a smaller head so size probably doesn't matter as long as you normally wear headphones. The built-in controls wobbled a lot and felt like they were pulling the headset down. Not bad in general, but I'll look into another headset. Update: I ended up gifting it to my 11 year old son and they really liked them. He said they are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the cable came out of the headset near the ear, after which the microphone stopped working. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because there's a good chance my son accidentally pulled it out. I'll buy them again, but I fix that weak spot with a crimson ribbon before giving it to my son.
