Do not use with a wall switch.
If you plan to plug it into a wall switch, this is not the lamp for you. If the power is completely cut off from the light, it has no memory. This means that it "forgets" what temperature you have set and possibly other things. So when you turn off the light and then turn it back on with the wall switch, it feels different every time, it cycles through 3 temperature settings. Cool, neutral, warm, again and again. There is also no manual for the remote control, so it is very helpful.
