Review on 🏡 Onvis Smart Homekit Motion Sensor: Indoor Hygrometer & Thermometer for Home Automation - Bluetooth Connectivity, No Hub Required by Ryan Fuhrer

After reading various online reviews I had high hopes for this motion detector. I was disappointed when I first started using it that it is not as reactive as I would like. I set it up to use automation with Homekit to turn the pantry lights on and off automatically. Sometimes the automation works, sometimes it doesn't. I updated the firmware to the latest version but performance is still sluggish. This may be Apple's fault as my Homekit hubs are my Apple TV and they are some distance from the motion detector, but since it uses Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi it seems unreliable. It also stops detecting movement and light changes when standing directly in front of it and waving at it. I have a different setting to turn the fan on based on humidity and I have fewer complaints about this target, but be aware it might not be as responsive if you want it to turn the lights on and off .
