The problem with this door is that the wings often get stuck half open. Too much friction between the flaps and the brush sides for the flaps to close every time. The magnets are not strong enough to fully close the doors unless the bottom metal part of the door barely touches the magnet. To make matters worse, the colder it gets outside, the stiffer the wings become, and the likelihood of them staying open is even higher (even to the point of a wing being pushed inward, causing the other remains open - see photo). I need to replace the door before winter comes. I wish manufacturers had a solution for this. We didn't mean manually closing the cat flap.
