I bought this bassinet after a long search. The main reason was that it had solid mesh sides and no fabric. It's the perfect size for our bedroom and easy to put together. I bought sheets to put over it as an extra layer of protection, they block the velcro underneath the mattress that keeps it in place, but that wasn't a problem because the mattress already fits so snugly in the cradle. I don't actually like the velcro on the mattress pad that comes with the bassinet because it sticks to things when I wash it, so I have to wash it completely which seems wasteful. My 3 month old daughter has slept in it since she was 2 weeks old and still has room to grow (she is now 14 pounds and 24 inches). Good product at a reasonable price!
