This is my second adapter. The first one works fine for me, I think exactly the same as this one. However, it should be 4 times larger. It protrudes when plugged in, but can be kicked/damaged when getting in and out. This kitbest is very low, barely protruding from the OBD. That's great with one caveat. The OBD-2 connector in your car is an "always on" connector, which means that when you remove the key and walk away from the car, the 12V outputs connected to your OBD2 connector (incidentally in all cars) are still live. This means that if you plan to leave the car for a while or for an extended period of time, those little (and all OBD2) connectors will "vampire" your battery. This is not an issue with a serviceable car/battery or a car that drives regularly, but in a long term storage situation or with a battery as the final step you will want to disable the OBD2 scanner adapter when not driving. That's the problem with this little inconspicuous fellow - forget that. Not really negative and I'm giving full stars - more of an informative warning.
