I needed to replace a thermometer that had a worn probe over the years. This GOOD thermometer is handy, small, easy to store and seems accurate as far as I can tell. Batteries are quick to install and the thermometer has a magnetic back so it's unobtrusive and always close at hand. The probe folds easily like a Swiss Army knife and is long enough to be used for thick roasts. The display is easy to read and the device responds quickly to temperature measurements. I love this thermometer, it does everything I need for the oven. I wouldn't consider exposing this to direct fire over a grill.
