Review on 🍯 Honeywell Ceiling Fans 50615-01 Glencrest Indoor & Outdoor Ceiling Fan - LED Edison Bulbs - ETL Damp Rated - Aged Teak/Dark Walnut Blades - 52”, Espresso Bronze by Erica Shine

I chose this fan over others mainly for the looks, especially the 'oiled bronze' copper finish. We have oiled bronze kitchen faucets, as well as kitchen and bathroom faucets and other decorative items. I thought it would be a nice compliment. Unfortunately, the finish on this fan looks cheap and painted (smudged?) rather than oiled bronze metal. I really wish companies would stop calling it oil rubbed bronze when it's just black metal with painted edges. This is a completely different finishing technique than, for example, our oil rubbed bronze faucet where the bronze/copper color is UNDER the dark brown or black rather than being painted on top. It's not like that at all. Painted highlights look terrible. I was also disappointed that the finish was scratched or chipped in many places. People won't sit and stare at the fan, but...it has chips, dents, and scratches that show through the silver-colored metal. Many scratches are hidden behind the glass dome, but it's still frustrating. All in all, given that it costs less than $150, this isn't a terrible fan and lighting kit. It will get the job done and it was one of the few I could find with a covered glass dome and more than one bulb so I would probably still buy it even if I knew about the defects and other issues. with decorative strip.
