So far this product works exactly as it should and I went from 500mbps to gig. Like many other people, this thing plugs in and works. My experience with Windows 10: Due to the fact that I almost never move my laptop from place to place and due to feedback that the cable can be delicate, I left it connected to the network. So I doubt I'll run into any problems with this particular part of this product. On first use it also didn't come back after fully shutting down and restarting the laptop. However, I mostly hibernated my laptop and had no trouble getting it to work after booting from hibernation. I've only disconnected once since I got this message, so I can't tell if this problem will happen again. I'll also probably forget to come back and update this in a year or so to say whether or not it's broken by then, but for now I feel the value of this product is good. By the way, I'd also like to thank John Z. for answering a question I had when I thought I couldn't get a static IP address. The problem was that I got tired and posted the gateway IP as both gateway and static for my laptop. So oh me If you read the question and then found this review, please ignore the question.
