I bought and installed this for my father who has some mobility and stability issues that now force him to use the shower chair and stall. The standard shower head hit him in the face at best. That's why we opted for the portable version. This unit does NOT come with a diverter valve so I ordered it separately as my mother doesn't need or want to use the manual option. The install itself went well - luckily I know enough to figure out how to put it all together as neither of them had instructions. Took me 15 minutes from start to finish. He is very happy with it and the suction cup sticks well to the fiberglass shower enclosure (not sure why other reviewers have had problems with the suction cup mount; an adhesive disc is also included if your tiles etc are a little rough - you can stick it to the wall and then attach the suction cup mount to it (just make sure you get it where you want it the first time as you won't be able to move it once the glue sets). Happy with pressure and settings; He also loves the on/off button on the handle - it allows him to easily stop the flow of water to wash his hair etc and then turn it back on to rinse. It also helps him not to splash water out of the shower stall as he can more easily control where the water falls and for how long. Note that the handle allows a small jet of water to flow out of the shower head to allow warm water to flow through the hose, preventing hot or cold water from splashing out when the water is turned back on. In general it seems very well made - the hose is metal, the shower handle is plastic but of good quality. However, invest in a bypass valve if you want to use a regular shower head in the same bathing area. 03/31/17 - Update: Product quality or installation process have not changed. However, be aware that this seller tirelessly strives for positive feedback - they will spam you and ask you - even after you have left a rating - to leave a product review. Look closely at the bottom of the emails - you must "unsubscribe" for them to stop. It's annoying; and I wish they would take the time to find out who reviewed the product and remove them from the "nag list".
