Not suitable for beating carpets.
I needed a rug rake to fluff up my rug, I should not have ordered this product for this job. The bristles are too soft and don't dig into the carpet but slide along the pile. Sweep the tiled floor well though. I'm still thinking about sending it back, maybe I'll find a use for it around the house. One more thing, the handle doesn't stay screwed tight. Although it feels tight, it loosens with use.
