I have previously ordered two other beard combs, one iron style with a thin detachable plastic comb over a heated surface and one with heated bristles. with red rubber tips at the ends of each bristle. Well, for one, I had to press against my face, which sometimes burned my skin and still left curls in my hair since you press it against the skin to straighten the hair. The other only worked when charged, just held up a not very careful use and set it back up. The red rubber tips broke off and sometimes stuck to my hair and now it's not safe anymore. With all that said, I'm happy to report that I've finally found a reliable comb. The Arkam's bristles are durable, well-spaced, heat up in a short time compared to others, easy to use, and have a good overall design. I've only had it for a few weeks but I think it will be a while. I am very happy with this purchase.
