I am correcting my negative rating. Turns out the new and old lightbulbs still work!
*** Update: FEIT still makes a good product! It turns out that the power supply to my light fixture must be bad, as both the new and old bulbs work fine in another light fixture with the same specific connector. I return the new bulb, keep the old bulb as a spare for my other light, and replace the broken light with something that requires a more conventional light bulb. I recommend this lamp, good price and quality.
