Because of my shopping habits, I always need extra space in my apartment. I bought this shelf organizer hoping to make the most of the space I have. Before I took this out, I didn't realize that the thickness of the shelf you attach the organizer to will determine whether you can use it or not. My shelf is a bit thick and barely fits where it connects to the bottom of the organizer. That would be a waste, but I built it in (luckily it didn't break) to create a solid wall on either side to make an extra shelf, so make sure it can slide, or it is exaggerated. I love my shelf and while it's not sturdy it does the job of providing more storage.
