First off, even though it's marketed as a "Portable DVD Player" I wouldn't consider it portable. The battery won't last through an average length movie. However, if you use it as a standard self dvd player then it's great. I keep mine plugged in all the time and just sit it on a shelf to watch and it works out fine for me. The picture quality is good (although mine has one dead pixel that looks like a particle of dust on the screen), and the sound is okay too. The buttons all work well and are easy to use, and so is the remote control.This dvd player is nothing fancy really, but it's not bad for the price. I give it 4 stars overall but I took off a star for the very short battery life. A battery that won't make it through one average movie for a portable dvd player is inexcusable in my opinion. Even still, it's working alright for me. We'll see how long it lasts.
