I bought this because I was tinting car windows and needed to remove the old tint which works well on a defrosted rear window as it can't be scraped off. I have also tested the steamer in the kitchen, in the sink, on windows and even in car washes that are otherwise difficult to access. As other reviewers have mentioned, this steamer takes 3-4 minutes to build pressure. It takes at least five minutes to warm it up, which isn't that important. It can be a good thing that it doesn't get too hot. I have never accidentally sprayed a product close enough to burn myself. What I really enjoy is washing the car. Works great around the trunk where a lot of dirt and grime accumulates over time and also cleans the rims. Unlike a pressure washer, it not only relies on pressure, but the heat itself helps loosen soil and other debris. As for the sink, I find it useful for washing around the faucet, although it doesn't help when it gets into hard-to-reach places. clean up very well. You almost need a toothbrush or other tool for a thorough cleaning. Again, this may be fine for security reasons, but overall it cleans the surface well. I agree, it's definitely for light home use. When you try to disinfect your whole house and work for long hours, using this steam cleaner becomes tedious. But for light jobs, it does a great job, is lightweight and gets the job done.
