Would be 5 stars if the top rolled up like water bottle caps, jams, peanut butter etc. By that I mean; with sloping grooves that pop out automatically when rotated. This Tomato Saver does not open by itself; You have to twist a little and then pry; both are not always easy because the plastic is smooth. Unfortunately, when reading reviews of other tomato liners, they all have to be opened. Based on other reviews and product images, the Hutzler Pro-Line Tomato Saver appears to be the most efficient shape and size. After cutting a sandwich I had to cut off more to fit the top back. I also appreciate that half of this container is transparent so I can see how much tomato is left. Before using this Hutzler Tomato Saver, I had a container that was opaque and sometimes didn't realize how few tomatoes were left to cook.
