I bought this after unintentionally clipping my newborn's finger with clippers. I'll never use normal clippers again. It is quite simple to use. I like how the pads are color designated for various ages. There are various attachments for doing adult nails, which I use as well. I would definitely buy this product again. I've been clipping baby's nails with this file religiously. I've even tried it on my skin and it's entirely painless. It serves its purpose. It's quiet enough to use while the baby sleeps. So gentle on baby nails that are paper thin and dagger sharp. It is forgiving of faults and quite silent. Baby slept on my chest while I was doing everything and didn't even notice.

However, because the light is hidden behind the pads, it might be difficult to see what you're doing. This is easily rectified by turning on a lamp or overhead light. The best item I ever got for my kid.
