This is a great little cushion. Better than any others I have tried. HOWEVER, you WILL bottom out onto the surface below. I bought it for a stool at one of my video editing consoles in my studio. The stool does have a padded seat. But after about 30 minutes, my butt starts getting sore. So I bought this cushion to set on top of the other padded seat of the stool. After about 45-60 minutes my butt starts getting sore. No doubt it's better than sitting on a wood/metal stool. And most of you will not use a stool for long periods of time like I do. But you WILL still bottom out and will eventually feel the hardness from underneath even after a few minutes. So just be forewarned . . . I do love it, but it's NOT the answer to a sore butt if you sit on a stool for any length of time besides having a bite to eat, or a couple cocktails. If you are okay with that, then this is the BEST cushion I have found.
