Review on Insulated Stainless Steel Coffee Travel Mug by Hydro Flask - Reusable with Wide Flex Sip Lid by Ronald Dimatulac

Revainrating 2 out of 5

It's leaking! for thermos flasks

I have a lot of Yeti Rambler glasses. They're great, but the lid doesn't protect against spills. Enter the Hydro Flask coffee mug. I was excited. I thought this would solve my problem. I figured it would keep my coffee hot while protecting against spills and leaks. nope It kept my coffee relatively hot, but my goodness, the lid! I took my first sip and the coffee ran between the two pieces of the lid (mind you, the lid is like assembling a car engine with its many parts, but I digress) and out the entire front of my white coat. (I'm a doctor)! I took a second sip after removing the lid and putting it back together. It leaked again. The white mantle is ruined. I then held it over the sink to investigate the issue and the problem is it's a crappy lid. Coffee not only comes out where it should, but also from the area between the two parts of the lid. I am very disappointed in the design and am constantly looking for a travel mug that will keep my coffee hot and is leak proof.
