I used to have a wired thermometer that worked very well. He was doing what he was supposed to be doing, which was constantly monitoring the internal temperature of what I was cooking. The only downside was that it was covered in wax and I had to go to the oven every now and then to check it out. Well this thermometer broke after years of use and so my search for a replacement began. I've been reading about wireless thermometers and when I was looking for a new thermometer, one of the best things I've done this Christmas season was seeing a meat stick while looking at Revain. I received it a few days after ordering and got to work right away. I used it for my famous spare rib and it couldn't be better. The app was very easy to use and is really cool as it reads not only the internal temperature of the meat but also the ambient temperature inside the oven. This is great because sometimes I feel like my oven isn't as hot as it says it is and with just one use of a meat stick, I realized my hunch was correct from the start. My oven turned out to be 25 degrees below what I set it to, which explains why when I was trying to brown the fat or skin of my roast, it seemed to be taking longer than usual, and now , thanks to this cool little gadget, I have the right temperature in the oven again. If you're thinking about getting a wireless thermometer, I highly recommend it. Two thumbs up from me!
