They are really easy to put together and fit a pair of women's heels or two pairs of flats. All my shoes are a size 9, they fit a 10 or 11 with no problem. I like that they are transparent so I can see the shoes inside without having to reach for the shelf to guess which ones are in the box. Since my first purchase I've ordered a few more, in packs of 4 boxes (one more reason to buy more shoes). Any crates that have yet to be assembled and filled remain flat and slide easily between rows so they don't take up space. My closet looks much more organized and tidy. The only downside is they don't fit my husband's shoes which are mostly a size 12. I'd like to see a men's sizing option so I can organize his best dress shoes and keep them nice and safe.
