Review on 🗺️ Explorer by Victorinox Swiss Army by Chris Bowden

So, after a long time back and forth, I grabbed this knife. Back and forth was switched from SAK to the magnifying glass (lens). I have an old Explorer with a gray body and glass lens and I've always found it to be very durable. When I decided to go ahead and get it, I was thrilled with the changes SAK made. Yes, it's all plastic and certainly not as "strong" as the previous incarnation, but what you lose in the strength of the material you gain elsewhere! First, it has a much larger lens for greater magnification. A larger lens also means more light will be captured when trying to focus the sun to start a wildfire. I ONCE managed to get a glowing coal with the help of an old conductor after a lot of trial and error. I got the bucks on the first try with the new lens/explorer. They won't break, so don't worry! Another downside was that the Philips Head driver is shorter compared to the old Explorer, but not by much, I hardly noticed! Great knife!
