*Review updated 4/9/21: Like almost all packaged foods, both animal and human, "Squeeze" is now unfortunately fully functional for this product. For the uninitiated, shrinkflation refers to the idea that food manufacturers can maintain margins by quietly and slowly building slightly smaller packages or simply packing fewer products into the same package size over a period of years or months. In other words, charge the same amount of money for less product, sometimes even more. This is, of course, a direct consequence of monetary inflation and the depreciation of the US dollar. Not only are these glasses noticeably less full, but the formula appears to have changed. because the food is no longer properly chopped up, but more like muesli or even pie. The specific product I'm talking about is a chicken and turkey orange label that says "ground beef" instead of "cereal" or "pie." I've been buying this product for probably over 5 years but I don't know how much longer I'll go. It seems that quality canned cat food is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Not exactly Blue Wilderness' fault, as of course the problem lies well upstream from the food producers. However, my cats continue to eat it, but I'm starting to have doubts about the quality as something has definitely changed. But again, quality cat food is rapidly declining compared to moderately available products. 4 stars for that alone. Why is "taste" one of the characteristics of this product? How exactly is the taste of cat food rated? Tip: add some water and stir. Our kittens love it. Maybe you will too.
