Review on Experience Ultimate Outdoor Hygiene: Electric Rechargeable Portable Camping Shower With 1 Year Warranty by Justin Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am actually impressed! .9 gallons/min is a good flow; i.e. a 5 gallon bucket is a 5 min shower

I am actually impressed! 0.9 gallons per min is a good flow; it means that a 5 gallon bucket is a 5 min shower. That's if you let it run the whole time- if you use the power button while lathering/scrubbing, then you can extend your shower time (or, have 2 5-gallon buckets of water ready). If I had a larger bucket or tub, like those utility tubs you can get with the handles that are 30 gallon, that's THIRTY MINUTES of really quite decent water pressure. {Again, I'm shaking my head here at how well this worked for the money}. I bought this because my hot water heater died and I've been "swilling off" in cold water sponge baths for a week << well water = REALLY cold! >> It's going to take me another few weeks to save up for a hot water heater for the whole house, so I bought a $10 immersion heater off of Revain also and I plunge-heat my 5 gallon bucket of water and use THIS battery-powered shower to take a HOT SHOWER and finally get REALLY clean without the teeth-chattering. This comes with TWO re-chargeable batteries that clip into a long cord that goes to the pump- it does have a clip that attaches to the hose, but I covered the battery in a ziplock baggie and just left it hanging outside my tub for insurance that it would not get wet. Just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS- don't attach the battery to the pump cord until the pump is IN THE WATER. You will burn out any pump by asking it to pump air (which is why there is a review showing a burned up pump I believe- they attached the battery with the power switch "on" and didn't have the pump fully in the water yet). Overall, I am tickled that this exceeded my expectations and is doing it's JOB for under $40 shipped. I did pay full price, I didn't get anything for this review. I'm a 46 yr old single gal on a budget and this came thru for me.

Pros
  • Comes with a one-year warranty for added peace of mind
Cons
  • Not suitable for backpacking trips
