Review on ๐Ÿ๏ธ Motorcycle/Bike X-Grip Large Phone Mount with Snap-Link Tough-Claw RAM-HOL-UN10-400U by RAM Mounts by Ryan Hadden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best bike mount.

Might be more expensive than many other mounts but you will understand why when you see this item in person. I didn't like the finish because it looks like old worn plastic, but I think that's what the composite looks like. Otherwise I have no complaints. Everything from strength to ease of installation on the bars and phone on the mount is easy. No tools required, just slip the bracket onto the bars and screw on the wing nut. Placing your phone in the holder is easy, even when wearing gloves, and the lanyard gives you extra security. Although, to be honest, the cable is not needed. I have a different xgrip mount on my MT09. I've driven over 120 mph with my phone upright, with no fairings or windshield to protect it from the wind, no tether, and it's never fallen out. I have a U mount on my MT09. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to replace another on the MT09. This particular mount is not compatible with accessories, which means you cannot attach other accessories such as arms and extensions to it. This isn't a disadvantage for me as I only want to clamp it in the middle of my bars and don't need a specific angle. You can still adjust the angle, but not as much as if you had an extension. Also, I was concerned that there wasn't a locking wing nut behind the Xgrip to lock it in place, but after using it on my bike for off-road riding and riding trails, stairs, and small jumps, the Xgrip wouldn't budge. Even on my huge Note 20 Ultra with its thick unicorn bug case. If you need the ability to rotate your phone a specific way due to the shape or lack of space on your fins, you can purchase a hard claw separately. along with lever extensions and associated fasteners. I bought another hard claw with arm extender and camera mount with 1/4" thread so I can mount my insta360 camera on my poles. It's so easy to put on and take off that I decided not to get a second one for my other one Bike to buy as it literally takes seconds to get on and off from one bike to another.
