Here are all the cons and the reasons why I'm sending it back: - After 2 hours of playing music, the first time over Wi-Fi, the battery was already 60% charged. It won't work if it's rated for 12 hours of battery life. When I connected them together, the new speaker said the battery life would be EVEN LESS than when playing alone. It would be nice if point 1 hadn't already happened. Strange! - The Alexa functionality on this device is just terrible. With simple commands like "set volume to 50%", "set volume to level 5" etc. it turns off the sound almost completely. When I said "stop playing", "stop" etc., he kept playing. What's the point if she can't even follow basic musical commands? hard pass. - In Bose's boundless wisdom, they decided NOT to include Apple Music. Regular Revain Alexa devices can do this, so this is a Bose issue. I'm sure it has something to do with the license but if you have Apple Music stay away as Alexa is useless to you and you have to be tied to your phone at all times. HEAVY pass. I spent extra money on Alexa and the Bose iteration is just junk. Worst of all, when I took it out of the box, the highs and lows were muddy at best. This is of course not Bose quality and absolutely no problem with the Revolve+. I found an equalizer, adjusted it to sound passable, and played a few more songs. I found that regardless of the EQ, even at medium volumes, the highs were terrible when the bass was pounding. I even set it to a lower level than what came in the box and it still sounds amazingly bad even when streaming from your phone. has a terrible sound. We're getting a second Revolve+ to complement our outdoor experience.
