Review on IRWIN Performance Slotted Screwdriver Keystone Tools & Equipment for Tire & Wheel Tools by Ryan Schweigert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good household screwdriver.

This is a pretty good screwdriver for home use. My favorite is the non-slip grip. This rubber material really grips your skin; Hard plastic grips, no matter how deep the grooves, require too much muscle power to keep the hand from slipping and it distracts from other aspects of the task, such as turning. B. the tight fit of the driver tip in the groove. With this driver, clutching is almost effortless, allowing me to focus on pushing and turning. In my experience, this can make a surprising difference in reducing slippage and damage to screw heads. I think I could buy a screwdriver at Wal-Mart for about half the price, but it would have a hard plastic handle and probably a point too. be chrome. which slides in the groove of the screw and contributes to its eversion. Irwin claims that this spike has hardened. I hope so, but only time will tell. What I can see right away is that the tip has some sort of black oxide or Parker finish, not a chrome finish. That is a good thing. The top of the shaft also has a 5/16" or 8mm hex for turning with a wrench. It's a great touch, although it would be even better if it was a slightly larger hex.

Pros
  • Screwdriver and Wrench
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price
