I got them because there's nothing to see from the back but the snorkels. I had to file a little in a half circle to countersink the groove that keeps the transoms from rotating in the mast. Otherwise I would only see the earth in the mirrors. I'm assuming they wanted to include more vertical roll bars. You can also use a rotary tool if you don't have a round file. Overall the stitching is quite strong and of good quality, after a long ride on a gravel road at high speeds I would buy them again.
