Thank goodness I was able to assemble this scratching post with the detailed instructions! (see photo) First I carefully sorted both parts. Second, I completed the step. Voila! Scratch tree! Jokes aside, my adoptive cat took to it right away. It's smaller than I hoped, but it's my fault I can't measure these things. I really just want this kitty to stop scratching the edges of my couch. This scratching post isn't high enough to satisfy his urge to reach out and scratch, but he might be interested enough to distract him. The attached mouse was something new. It's on an elastic thread! He has never dealt with anything that SPROINGS! away from him as soon as he loosened his grip. So it was fun. I will update when the scratching post starts to fall apart. So far, so good! (And yes, this kitten is available for adoption.)
