Review on Notebook DELL INSPIRON 3180 (1366x768, AMD A6 1.6 GHz, RAM 4 GB, SSD 32 GB, Win10 Home) by Michael Baek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

First of all, I flooded Uefi Windows without disabling secure boot, everything turned out to be quite simple, although I had not installed UEFI windows before. In general, the device copes with its tasks, it should be noted that the browser did not work so smoothly on Ubuntu out of the box, especially when scrolling, but Ubuntu didn’t stand for more than an hour, although from a visual point of view it’s a nice axis. In addition to the screenshots of the discmark, quite a decent result.

Pros
  • Compact size, good stuffing / price ratio, it is now extremely difficult to find a branded manufacturer with a good reputation in this price category. Onboard 4GB RAM, 128GB eMMC. I think that for this kind of devices, emmc is the best, but the speed of linear writing is not as important as the speed of reading small system files, which is completely non-existent for HDDs. Passive cooling, at first it is unusual that nothing makes noise.
Cons
  • I had problems with the dynamic brightness of the screen, it turned out that the problem was in AMD firewood, I tried to turn off Vari-bright - the system does not grasp the setting. I had to leave the maximum brightness mode. The matrix itself is a C with a plus, TN, and the cursor also moves in a ladder (interlaced).
