I ordered this comb as my old wooden comb was warped and split in half. My previous wooden comb also broke so I decided to try something else. Plastic combs do not clean well and cause static electricity problems on human hair. The seller's page explained that these combs are made from cellulose which is a plant based product (plant cells I think) so I figured something that wasn't plastic might be good for the environment. The seller's site also states that the combs are handmade and polished so as not to damage the hair. The combs are described as being able to move smoothly through the hair. The comb arrived today. It has a beautiful tortoise shell color and pattern. When I used it, the comb was light and easy to grab and hold. It went through my thin and wavy hair that frizzes easily. Works as stated by the seller. I love it. I am very happy with my purchase.
